Applicants with Recent Secondary Education (within the last two years) | BBS will accept applicants that hold a formal qualification considered equivalent to an Australian Year 12. |
Applicants with Higher Education Study | BBS will consider applicants who have successfully completed at least one year of a higher education course at an Australian higher education provider (AQF Level 7) within the last 10 years or an equivalent qualification. Credit may be granted where applicants have completed unit(s) at a similar level at an Australian higher education provider. |
Applicants with VET Study | BBS will consider applicants who have successfully completed a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course within the last five years since leaving school. The VET course must be at least Certificate IV level or higher from an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or a higher education provider. |
Applicants with Work and Life Experience | BBS does not consider applications based solely on work and life experience or informal study where formal higher education qualifications are not present. Entry is available only through the qualification pathways outlined above. |

Applicants with qualifications below AQF Level 5 will not be admitted. |

BBS will consider domestic applicants who have successfully completed at least one year of a higher education course at an Australian higher education provider (at Australian Qualification Framework level 7) within the last 10 years. Credit may be granted where applicants have completed unit(s) at a similar level at an Australian higher education provider.
BBS will consider domestic applicants who have appropriate work and life experience. BBS will review applications on a case-by-case basis from domestic applicants who do not have formal qualifications for entry but who seek admission to courses on the basis of their educational and skills development through experience and informal study. Applicants who wish to be considered in this category must provide extensive evidence in support of their application.
In an event where applicants are not able to provide necessary documentation, applicants may be required to sit Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT). This test is administered by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). This will need to be approved by the Dean on the case-by-case basis.
